Virtual Tour (360) – Lansdowne Library

My Virtual Tour (360) of the Landsdowne Library & Learning Commons is still in progress, but I wanted to share it here in case anyone else is thinking of trying one! I can see many applications for this, as more students & employees transition back to the physical campus.

About the tour

The self-paced tour is intended to help new and returning students locate and become familiar with both the physical layout of Camosun Libraries and some of the basic in-person and online supports and services. It is not intended to replace instruction or research support.

It is designed to:

  • Familiarize students with the physical Library & Learning Services
  • Connect students with online services
  • Introduce basic library terminology
  • reduce library anxiety

Technical stuff

The code lives in my personal H5P sandbox and is embedded in LibGuides.

The Virtual Tour (360) object is fairly straightforward, but if you read my earlier post about background photos you’ll see there is a bit of a learning curve! I’d be happy to share some tips with anyone who is interested.

(And yes, I’m working on an Interurban version!)
