Testimonial from Janice Shewey, Spanish instructor at Camosun

I have seen so many benefits to using this tool in my classes:

  1. students can use it as exam practice review,
  2. students get immediate feedback and can review concepts we’ve covered in class right away,
  3. they get to redo them as many times as they want until they achieve the grade they are happy with,
  4. the recording tool helps them practice speaking privately and then listen to themselves (really important in language acquisition), hopefully reducing anxiety when it comes time to speak in class,
  5. the listening practice items let them listen both with and without a transcript, and repeated listening practice is the secret to mastering this skill, and
  6. students can work at their own pace.

That would be SO cool if students could create their own H5P objects…so much potential with that. They can create practice questions for their peers and that I could use for their quizzes, portfolios (as you mentioned, which could open up project-based learning options), and little adventures (like an escape room but way simpler)
